Beatles Mapped

The Beatles used the studios while rehearsing music for their album Let It Be. A film was made of some of the sessions, and both the film and the album were released in 1970. The Beatles had previously used Twickenham for their films A Hard Day’s Night and Help! and for their promotional film for Hey Jude.

The promotional film for “Strawberry Fields Forever” was filmed on 30 and 31 January 1967, in Knole Park in Sevenoaks.

The “Can’t Buy Me Love” segment, from the film ‘A Hard Days Night’, which featured creative camera work and the band running and jumping around in a field was shot on 23 April 1964 at Thornbury Playing Fields, Isleworth, Middlesex. A fake helipad was constructed, and The Beatles were filmed running around and acting up. [...]
