The Jacaranda Club was owned by Allan Williams, who became the Beatles’ first manager. The Beatles often played, rehearsed and hung out at the ‘Jac’, where Stuart Sutcliffe’s murals can still be seen on the basement walls.

The Grapes

The Grapes was a favourite Beatle hangout, located a few doors down Mathew Street from the Cavern (which was not allowed to sell alcohol).

The Decca audition is the name given to the now-famous Beatles audition for Decca Records at their Decca Studios in West Hampstead, north London, England, before they reached international stardom. Decca’s decision to reject the group is considered to be one of the biggest mistakes in music history.
